Historic District and the National Register of Historic Places

The downtown area of Bardstown is a historic district and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. There are 200 buildings on the NHR in historic downtown. Stop by the Welcome Center to pick up a map and check them out during a walking tour of the area. We are sure you will find a lot of other fun and interesting places along the way including amazing restaurants and wonderful shopping.

There are 10 distilleries within 16 miles of downtown Bardstown. These unique distilleries include: Bardstown Bourbon Co, Barton 1792 Distillery, Heaven Hill Distillery, Jim Beam, Lux Row Distillers, Log Still Distillery, Four Roses Bourbon, Preservation Distillery, Maker’s Mark and Willett. Bardstown is a great place to start your Bourbon Trail tour. Which distillery will you visit first?
