Georgetown Travel Tips from Notable Locals

Michael Blowen of Old Friends Farm

Georgetown is just big enough to be exciting and small enough to be relaxing. Good food. Good beer and very nice people. Don’t miss Country Boy, Local Feed and Bourbon 30. And, of course, Old Friends.

Make sure you take time to walk downtown and see the many shops and restaurants that Georgetown has. If you can, get on the Elkhorn creek or visit one of our many parks with picnic tables where you can eat by the water!

During your visit to Georgetown, be sure to spend some time in our charming and historic downtown.  Our Main Street offers many retail shops that offer anything from clothing and gifts to Bourbon and anything in between.  Georgetown is also home to many downtown restaurants that offer a great variety of food and dessert choices at many different price points.  Main Street is a fabulous place to spend an afternoon and evening!
