I’m a personal fan of zoos, partially because of my photography interest and the ability to get great photos. I also like chekcing out how zoos present their habitats and interactive exhibits allowing guests to get up close and personal with species they otherwise wouldn’t. Did you know that the Nashville Zoo is the 9th largest zoo in the country based on land mass and it’s less than 50% developed.
The Nashville Zoo allows guests to check out over 350 different species of animals in its neatly 3,000 animals on exhibit. It’s all so easy to navigate too with their zoo app that provides an interactive map, animal facts, virtual habitats and so much more.
The 90 developed acres of this zoo is incredibly easy to walk with many locations where you can just sit and observe the animals for as long as you want. There are also indoor exhibits and shows to take in.
General admission is $16 – $25 for adults with children ages 2 – 12 getting a $4 discount off that rate. Admission rates vary based on day. Children 2 and under are free.
There are also attractions and feeding opportunities available such as a train ride, carousel, lorikeet feeding, adventure 4D theater and a soaring eagle zip line. Available is an adventure pass that allows unlimited feedings and rides for just $11 per person.
