First Sunday Guided Nature Tour: Winter Ramble | Josephine Sculpture Park | February 2

During this approximately 1-hour guided walking tour (see accessibility note below), land steward and JSP board member, Joyce Bender, will guide you through a “Winter Ramble,” a walk through the park exploring how the plants and animals at JSP make it through the winter. You may also learn about JSP’s conservation practices, and examine how select sculptures connect us with our environment.

On behalf of the Keeneland culinary team, it’s my pleasure to invite you to Culinary Immersion: A Keeneland Crafted Event. Join me and our experienced team for a unique cooking class to help you hone your skills for your next dinner party. From building a charcuterie board and plating beautiful salads to curing meats and making gnocchi from scratch, this class will teach you a variety of skills you can use in your own kitchen.
During the class, you’ll also be able to enjoy culinary cocktails and handpicked wine selections, get a behind the scenes look at how we feed Keeneland’s guests on race day, and, of course, share dinner with myself and the culinary team.

When the calendar gives you an extra day, what do you do with it? Play derby of course! Roller Derby of Central Kentucky is hosting their Inaugural Open-Gender Sur5al Tournament February 29th.
What is a Sur5al? Teams of 5 will go head to head until one team wins it all! Each game will last for 20 minutes. No time outs, no halftime, no extra body on the bench to relief jam. It’s a true test of your stamina, endurance, and strength! All teams are guaranteed a minimum of 2 (abbreviated) games. Entry fee includes your team’s T-shirts, colors will vary.
